The Hikari AccuProbe Hydrometer is a durable aquatic tool scientifically designed to accurately measure both gravity and salinity down to ?0.001 PPT. The durable construction and auto-temperature correcting design ensures that even aquarium waters between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius can be meticulously measured without error. Readings can be taken via holding the meter itself inside the aquarium or by taking the unit out of the aquarium and putting it on a level surface. A self-levelling hanging device comes with the unit to eliminate having to get your hands wet when submerging the unit to its optimum depth of 6 inches. The device automatically collects the perfect sample size by leveling off the water sample at the top of the dam to reduce spillage.Note:
Before using for the first time, to season the measurement needle, fill the hydrometer with saltwater from your aquarium and allow it to sit full of this water on a level surface for 24 hours. This rehydrates the calibration disc to its original specs and calibration standard and will provide the most accurate readings going forward.
